sure ... but I guess you would want to use absolute mods anyway ... what is
the use of relative in this situation ? Except for the sake of backward
compatibility with existing scripts ... however, implementing this in perl
should not be very difficult either ... 

guess I am being of ^'do everything possible in perl-ish ... sorry
