The example I gave was using '<lang:star:href:>' inside an language
slice already. (includes snipped)
(de) Referenziere: <lang:star:href: index.*.html|index.html>
(en) Referencing : <lang:star:href: index.*.html|index.html>
(/)
piping this through wml -p 1-8 gives the following
[LANG_DE: Referenziere:[LANG_DE:index.html:][LANG_EN:index.html:]:]
[LANG_EN: Referencing :[LANG_DE:index.html:][LANG_EN:index.html:]:]
which piped through "wml -p 9 -o '(ALL-LANG_*)uLANG_DE:-'"
results in the mentioned error:
** Slice:Error: Some slices were not closed:
** WML:Break: Error in Pass 9 (rc=1).
Now, There might be a way to work around this, but I have no idea how to
do this in an easy way.

See above, IŽd vote now to remove TCP completely after seeing that results.
