I know WML since wml-1.6.7 so i don't know whether your problems are

In wml-1.6.8, they are defined in the wml perl script. You can find a
new definition at
http://www.engelschall.com/sw/wml/distrib/wml-SNAP/wml_include/sys/bootgm4.src

But please, don't mix versions, or you could have strange results.
