 How about writing a short eperl-code that reads in your file and
substitutes the &, < and > to &amp;, &lt; and &gt; and prints that? And
not to forget to substitute \n with <br>. I think that should be
suitable enough to be practicable :)

 Just my idea ;)  I thought about something similar, too. Well, I
thought about a cgi-script that also does some parsing and prints out a
polished up version of the wml-file (some syntax highlighting and such
stuff...). Well, I only haven't found the time for that yet ;-/
