No, I did this

- cd /usr/local/src
- tar -xvzf .../wml-1.7.4.tar.gz
- cd wml-1.7.4
- configure --prefix=/usr/local
- make -> ok
- make test -> complaining about missing File::PathConvert
- perl -MCPAN -e shell
- install File::PathConvert
- make test -> ok
- make install -> ok
- [using wml] -> ok
