As user or root I get on a fresh unpacked wml:

make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/wml-1.7.4/wml_common'
===> wml_common/getoptlong
Checking if your kit is complete...
Can't exec "pwd": Too many levels of symbolic links at /usr/lib/perl5/Cwd.pm line 69.
Looks good
Writing Makefile for Getopt::Long
make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/wml-1.7.4/wml_common/getoptlong'
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `pure_all'. Stop.
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/wml-1.7.4/wml_common/getoptlong'
make[1]: [all] Error 1 (ignored)
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/wml-1.7.4/wml_common'

This ends in no program from wml-common....

Same for htmlclean...

This is crazy, I was at least one time able to make it (not counting
the problem thet it doesnīt read my .wmlrc).

Carsten.
