I guess I need to (a) start using a larger font, and (b) not work so much.
This turned out to be due to a typo that I overlooked during three hours of
debugging, that I found in about two minutes once I got some rest.

Of the last four times I've asked about WML's behavior, three have been
entirely my problem.  I should stop submitting questions.  :)
