<toc_hN> together with language slices?

Hi guys,

since I didn't get a reply when I first asked this question, I though I'd
try again :-)

What's the easiest way to use <toc_hN> constructs when also using
language slices?

The "simple" aproach below results in *all* headers being collected
for the toc in *all* slices:

<d>
<toc_h1>German toc entry</toc_h1>
</d>
<e>
<toc_h1>English toc entry</toc_h1>
</e>

So does

<toc_h1><d>German toc entry</d><e>English toc entry</e></toc_h1>

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any pointers!

Stephan
